Seldom in life do you find a person whose entire life has been in preparation for the moment in time that God has chosen.  Pastor Johnson is such a person. Called, anointed, and gifted for ministry which began during his formative years Pastor Johnson now stands tall in the Christian community as a committed vessel of the Lord. As a child he was often told God was going to use him.  That prophecy has been fulfilled as he is herald as one of the Church's brightest stars in ministry.

Pastor Johnsonis a graduate of Morehouse College, The Interdenominational Theological Center, University of Cumberlands holding degrees in Political Science, Systematic Theology, and Early Childhood Education, respectively. His academic training has been sharpened by great men and women of God who tutored him in ministry.  Such persons as his father Bishop Martin Luther Johnson, Sr, Ph.D., who ingited in him a passion for preaching, Mother Anna Pearl Johnson whose sensitive touch and guidance birthed in him a deep and abiding sense of compassion for those typically forgotten, the Late Supt. Luther R. Hinsley who referred to him affectionately as "Young The Son Of Thunder"and Mother Edna G. Hinsley both of whom were spiritual surogates and who gave him the opportunity  to serve in the church, and the late Bishiop Chandler D. Owens whose love for young preachers appointed him President of YPWW (Youth Department) for Central Georgia Jurisdiction. All of these experiences have shaped his ministry and given him the qualities necessary to be an effective pastor, teacher and leader in the church. A uniqely gifted preacher who weaves traditional preaching with practical teaching Pastor Johnson continues to be an effective voice and trumpeter of the Gospel.

Pastor Johnson is married to Bonnie Johnson, formerly of Denver, Colorado and together they have three children: Justin (Iris), Danielle, and Joshua.  The joy of their life is their two grandsons: Tyrus Xavier (5) and Jaycee Nicholas (3 months).

Living Faith was borne out of a sense of urgency and is founded upon the belief that faith catapultes us into the unknown and gives us the ability to live in the complete will of God. The Scriptures reminds us that "without faith it is impossible to please God and the just live by faith".  Living Faith is a place where people learn to live out their "calling" through faith while sharing their experience with unbelievers. One does not need to know the theological arguments for the existence of god to be effective.  In fact, its the sharing of our unique experience with others that creates a desire and passion in people to know the God we serve.

Living Faith is also a place for people who have either given up on church, bruised by past church experience, or did not grow up in church. Our aim is to instill in them a genuine love for God that leads them to serve God through the church while serving humanity.

Living Faith is a member church of the Church Of God In Christ which is the largest Pentecostal body in the world. The COGIC extends its reach beyond the borders of the United States with churches on every continent in the world. COGIC was founded by the late Bishop Charles Harrison Mason in 1897, which is the largest Pentecostal body in the world, Today COGIC boast of more than 20,000 congregations world-wide and growing. The mantra of the church comes from the words of bishop mason- Yes Lord.
